This mid-century lounge chair was designed by Marco Zanuso per Arflex (Milan) in 1951. It features a frame in metal, padding in expanded polyurethane, and powder pink fabric upholstery. This masterpiece of Italian design was exhibited in the IX Triennale in Milan in 1951, and won the Golden Medal, achieving immediately the status of a modern design icon. It is exposed in several museums all over the world, such as the MoMa in New York, the Triennale in Milan, the Triennale in Tokyo Permanent Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Furniture in Ravenna.
